A ½ the rental fee is due to hold the date the balance plus a $300 security deposit is due 1 month prior to check-in.
Q Do I need to bring my own linens?
A No, we provide sheets and towels to make it easier for you to get to the island!
Q How quickly does the house book up?
A The house is pretty booked by April 1st so book early.
Q Is there firewood for the fire pit?
A There may be firewood but it depends on previous renters. You can purchase it at the store by the state park.
Q How far are you from the main drag of bars and restaurants?
A About 1 mile; the house is located behind Heinemans Winery.
Q How far are you from Cedar Point?
A The ferry boats lines can reached from Cedar Point in about 20 minutes.
Q Do I need reservations for the ferry?
A No, the ferries run multiple boats all day long and can accommodate about 300 people.
Q Can I bring my car to the island?
A Yes, the Miller Ferry brings cars over on the island.
Q Do I need to bring a car to the island?
A No, there are plenty of cabs to take you anywhere you want to go. You can also rent golf carts, bikes and mopeds.
Q Do the docks take reservations?
A The city docks are on first come first serve basis for boat dockage.
Q Is there a grocery store on the island and beer and wine?
A Yes there is a full service grocery store –Island General Store on Catawba Avenue, with the Island Beverage Center next to it with beer, wine and low proof liquor next to it. There is also a drive thru with beer and wine located next to the Boathouse Bar and Grill on Hartford Avenue.
Q Is there a liquor store on the island?
A No, you will need to bring your own.
Q Do you allow pets?
A No.
Q Is there a washer and dryer at the house?
A Yes a front load washer and dryer.
Q What activities at the home are there?
A There is a lot to do with a volleyball net and balls, horseshoes and a fire pit to make the perfect s'mores. There is a lot to do on a lazy day.
